Activate your power.

“But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might…” – Micah 3:8.

In today’s scripture, Micah knew how to encourage himself in the Lord. He understood how to draw in courage and strength and align himself with God’s purpose for his life. He knew there was power in his words and power in agreeing with God. It works the same way with us today. Romans 10:9–10 tells us that salvation comes when we believe in Jesus and then declare what we believe. In the same way, we activate the power of God by believing and declaring it. (Job 22:28)

Today, know that God loves you and desires to empower you for every task you face. Receive His strength and activate it by declaring that He is at work in your life by the Holy Spirit! Declare that you are filled with power, strength, justice and wisdom as you face the challenges before you. Believe it, receive it and declare it because He has equipped you to overcome in every area of your life.

Wake up call.

Susan Boyle

You’ve already heard about her. Perhaps you have even seen her. If you haven’t you should. Above all the roar and thunder. Above all the praise and cheering. Far above all else, there is a message here for all of us.

Every once in a while the world is reminded that we put frivolous, fake and superficial ahead of reason, compassion and dignity. Then God steps in and says “look…you are a masterpiece. You are a bright shining example of my work. Lift up your head and hold it high! Your gifts may not be obvious to the world, but who are they to judge my creation!”

Today, break the bonds that tie you down. Loosen the grip you have held on words like “not good enough,” “failure,” “ugly,” “useless,” “unworthy,” and “hopeless.”

You may indeed need to work harder. You may have to fight prejudice. You may be ridiculed and mocked for even thinking you can succeed. But you are His child. You are better than all of that. You are more than you ever imagined and greater than all you believe. Stand up! Get moving! Start planning! Discover today what God sees in you, by asking Him to reveal it in all of its glory.

You need not stand on a stage, in a spot light, write an epic novel or discover the cure for cancer. But you must, I repeat, you MUST, live up to your full potential. Perhaps as a wife, mother, husband, father, teacher, manager, mechanic, singer, dancer, painter, friend, plumber or anything you believe is your gift to the world.

For as the ugly duckling became the graceful swan, you will develop into the perfection only you can be. The greatest, shining example of YOU!

Now, go and watch this ordinary, simple, woman who is mocked by the crowd and judges until…until God said “Shut up and listen! She is my Child!”

And the self-centered opened their hearts. The cynical became believers. The world was reminded that everyone is a gift given by God. Yes, that includes you, my friend. Watch, listen and then thank God, for this day. It is “Your Wake Up Call!”
Thank you, Susan Boyle!

You are an over comer

God created you to be an overcomer! Sometimes, it’s easy to get down and discouraged when things aren’t going the way you planned. If you go around thinking, “It’s never going to work out” or “It’s never going to get better”, you limit what God can do. But if, when you face difficulties, you dig your heels in, knowing that God is bigger than your problems, your faith will open the door for God to turn your negative situation around!

Isaiah 54:17 says that, “No weapon formed against you will prosper. This is your heritage as children of the Lord.” Notice you have a heritage. You have rights and privileges because you belong to Christ. As long as you keep God first place in your life, you have a hedge of protection around you, a hedge of favor, and a hedge of mercy. When difficulties come, because you are His child and honor Him, those difficulties won’t prosper in your life. When it’s all said and done, God will take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it around for your good.

Declare over yourself, by faith, that you will overcome every obstacle. Declare that every dream and desire God placed in your heart will come to pass. Declare that you have the favor of God and that whatever you set your hand to will prosper. As you speak those words of faith, the Lord will work on your behalf and you will live as an overcomer all the days of your life.

Faith

“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God”

Did you know that your faith in God can grow and increase every single day? Notice today’s scripture doesn’t say, “Faith comes because you have heard the Word of God one time.” No, it says that “faith comes by hearing”, in the present tense.

Sure, God’s Word can transform us in an instant; but most of the time, we need to hear God’s principles over and over again before they become active in our lives. God’s truth sets us free and puts His plan for our lives into motion. As you study the Word of God, it chisels away at the doubt and unbelief that’s been built up over the years. And, just as a seed needs water to grow daily; your spirit needs the Word of God daily. The more you hear God’s promises, the more you know Him, and the more confidence you will have to believe His word.

I encourage you to choose a few verses to meditate on daily. Write them down and carry them in your purse or wallet. The more you hear the Word of God, the more your faith will grow, and you will move forward in the freedom and victory He has for you!
