Time for God’s Favor

“That day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they revered him all the days of his life…” – Joshua 4:14.

I love the promise that God gave to Joshua. He said, “Joshua, today I will begin to make you great in the eyes of all the Israelites.” God was saying, “Today, I’m going to start releasing more blessings and increase.” But notice, there was a specific time in his life that God began to release favor in a new way.

Believe God wants to do the same thing for you. He wants to release His blessing and favor in such a way that it makes you great in every way. God is saying to us what He said to Joshua, “This day I’m going to begin to make your name great. I’m going to open the doors that no man can shut.” It is a set time for God’s favor. Get ready, make room in your thinking. Stay open to Him and keep an attitude of faith and expectancy because the time of God’s favor is here.

You are already Blessed

“Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.” – Isaiah 60:1.

Today’s verse doesn’t say that the glory of the Lord is going to come on you one day, it says God’s glory is already on you. The word “glory” in the original language indicates, God’s favor, blessing and splendor is on you in a heavy way. It’s something that is tangible and has weight. Think about it this way, You are not less than, intimidated or weak; you are heavy with God’s favor. You are dripping with God’s goodness.

When you really understand that you are heavy with favor, then it’s easy to be heavy with expectation. It’s easy to believe for big things when you know God has favored you in a big way. It’s time for you to arise. It’s time for you to shine. Let that sink down into your spirit today because it’s time for you to arise and shine because His glory, His favor is heavy upon you.

Make Room

“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.” – Proverbs 13:22.

Notice, God has already laid up good things for you, They already have your name on them. If you’ll keep honoring God and making room for them, then eventually they will find their way into your hands, the hands of the righteous. That means right now something is headed your direction. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are righteous.

My question is, are you making room for it? Are you taking off the limits in your thinking? Get rid of any old thoughts that are talking negative, There will always be voices that will try to talk you out of it. But that’s when you have to rise up in faith and embrace His promises so you can make room for the blessings He has in store for you.

The Gift from God

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” – Ephesians 2:8.

We serve such a loving, gracious and generous God and He loves us so much that there isn’t anything He wouldn’t do in order to have a relationship with us. The Bible tells us that sin separates man from God. But God doesn’t want to be separated from us. That’s why He sent His Son into the world to pay the penalty for sin so that you and I could live in eternity with Him.

So many people today think they have to earn their way to heaven. They think they have to be “good enough” or “do the right thing” in order to be accepted by God. They want to “clean up” before they come to Him. But notice what today’s verse says salvation is a gift from God. You can’t earn a gift. You don’t pay for it. You can only receive it by faith. If you’ve never made Jesus the Lord of your life, I encourage you to receive this free gift. Let Him fill you with His eternal peace and joy so that you can live the abundant life He has for you.

Continuous Blessings

“Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, ‘Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.’ ” – Psalms 35:27.

Notice in today’s verse, God’s people were commanded to go around saying continually, “Let God be magnified. He takes pleasure in prospering me.” I believe one reason they were supposed to say it all the time is so it would get down on the inside of their hearts.

See, when we hear something long enough, we start to believe it. It starts to affect the way we see things. I wonder what would happen if, all through the day, we decided to stop dwelling on negative, defeated thoughts, and started dwelling on thoughts like, “God takes pleasure in prospering me. Good breaks are in my future. Explosive blessings are coming my way?” Let the truth of God’s Word sink down into your heart. All throughout the day, declare His goodness. Declare His faithfulness. Declare His blessings because He delights in seeing you prosper.
