Make Room

“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.” – Proverbs 13:22.

Notice, God has already laid up good things for you, They already have your name on them. If you’ll keep honoring God and making room for them, then eventually they will find their way into your hands, the hands of the righteous. That means right now something is headed your direction. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are righteous.

My question is, are you making room for it? Are you taking off the limits in your thinking? Get rid of any old thoughts that are talking negative, There will always be voices that will try to talk you out of it. But that’s when you have to rise up in faith and embrace His promises so you can make room for the blessings He has in store for you.

The Gift from God

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” – Ephesians 2:8.

We serve such a loving, gracious and generous God and He loves us so much that there isn’t anything He wouldn’t do in order to have a relationship with us. The Bible tells us that sin separates man from God. But God doesn’t want to be separated from us. That’s why He sent His Son into the world to pay the penalty for sin so that you and I could live in eternity with Him.

So many people today think they have to earn their way to heaven. They think they have to be “good enough” or “do the right thing” in order to be accepted by God. They want to “clean up” before they come to Him. But notice what today’s verse says salvation is a gift from God. You can’t earn a gift. You don’t pay for it. You can only receive it by faith. If you’ve never made Jesus the Lord of your life, I encourage you to receive this free gift. Let Him fill you with His eternal peace and joy so that you can live the abundant life He has for you.

Continuous Blessings

“Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, ‘Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.’ ” – Psalms 35:27.

Notice in today’s verse, God’s people were commanded to go around saying continually, “Let God be magnified. He takes pleasure in prospering me.” I believe one reason they were supposed to say it all the time is so it would get down on the inside of their hearts.

See, when we hear something long enough, we start to believe it. It starts to affect the way we see things. I wonder what would happen if, all through the day, we decided to stop dwelling on negative, defeated thoughts, and started dwelling on thoughts like, “God takes pleasure in prospering me. Good breaks are in my future. Explosive blessings are coming my way?” Let the truth of God’s Word sink down into your heart. All throughout the day, declare His goodness. Declare His faithfulness. Declare His blessings because He delights in seeing you prosper.

Believe and Declare

“It is written: ‘I believed; therefore I have spoken.’ With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak.” – 2 Corinthians 4:13.

I know a man who was believing to pay his house off. It was a standard 15 year mortgage, and he had 10 years left. In the natural, there was no way he could do it. But he was bold enough to say, “Father, I want to thank you that You are Jehovah Jireh; the Lord my provider. I know my job is not my source. You are my source. It may look impossible, but I know You can do the impossible.”

A years later, he received an inheritance from a family member that he had never met before. He didn’t even know they were related. He was able to not only pay his house off, but he paid a friend’s house off as well. What was that? Friend, when you believe God, you position yourself for a miracle. When you obey His commands, you set yourself under the open windows of heaven. When you declare His Word, you activate His power. Keep standing, keep believing, keep speaking and see the victory and blessing He has in store for you.

Unlimited Supply

“And what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe…” – Ephesians 1:19.

If I had a thousand litres of water to give you but you only had a hundred litres container, you wouldn’t be able to receive what I had for you. The problem would not be with the supply. It would be with your ability to receive. If you would get rid of the small container and get something larger, I would be able to give you so much more.

It’s the same way with God. We might have a tendency to think, “That it may not be the right time. I could never afford that house I really want. My business will never expand due to competition, I don’t have the funding. I don’t have the people behind me.” No, you’ve got to get rid of that hundred litres container. Get rid of that small container. The God we serve is a big God! He has an unlimited supply. Jesus said, “According to your faith it will be done unto you.” It’s not according to God. God has all the power, all the resources in the world. It’s according to what we believe. Increase your capacity to receive. Enlarge your thinking by meditating on the Word of God. Praise Him and magnify Him because with God all things are possible.

New living, New thinking.

“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.” Mark 2:2.

Are you ready for an increase? Are you ready to go to the next level, spiritually, physically and emotionally? Many times, people hear the truth that God has more in store, and something resonates on the inside. Their spirit comes into agreement with God; but often times, their natural mind will try to talk them out of it. Thoughts will come like, “It’s not going to happen to me. I’m not going to have a great year. You saw what the medical report said.” “You’re never going to get married. You’ve been single so long.”

Friend, those are the old wineskins or the old way of thinking that you have to get rid of. This is a new season. What’s happened in the past is over and done. You may have been through some disappointments, you may have tried and failed, or things didn’t work out. That’s okay. God is still in control. It’s time to get a new vision for your life. It’s time to open yourself to a new way of thinking so that you can receive all the blessings God has in store for you. So believe.

Life without a dream.

“Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint…” – Proverbs 29:18.

We know an orphanage, every Sunday they go down to the slums and take a few children to the beach. They call it “Dream Day.” As the children play in the sand and water, as they look at the beautiful ocean and watch the magnificent sunsets, they talk to them about how God knew them before they were formed in their mother’s womb, how they have seeds of greatness on the inside. They speak vision into them. Now, they’re finding that these children from the slums are overcoming incredible odds, getting scholarships to colleges, breaking out of poverty, becoming leaders in the community. Their dreams are coming true.

Scripture tells us that when people don’t have a revelation of God’s love and His Word, ultimately, they perish. It doesn’t say where there is no money, where there is no opportunity, where there is no talent people perish. What limits us is a lack of vision and understanding about God’s plan for our lives. Today, encourage yourself to let God’s Word shape your vision of the future. Let today be your dream day. Set aside the cares of the world. Set aside distractions and worries and look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith.

What is good about this day?

“…it is finished…” – John 19:24.

Jesus was on a mission when he came on this earth, he left heaven and came down on this earth, to fulfil the fathers will and the task assigned to Him by God the father. Jesus lived on this earth for almost 33 years giving us an example of how to live under the obedience of God the father, He was always obedient to the father when He lived on this earth.

The father loved mankind ‘His creation’ and wanted to save His creation from perishing because of sin. Sin had become a barrier between God the father and mankind, Jesus took the sins of mankind upon Him and died on the cross as a sacrifice so that mankind, the creation of God can be once again free of sin as it was created to be. By the sacrifice of Jesus, we are once again sinless and heirs to the kingdom of God. The words of Jesus from the cross “It is finished” before his last breath, signify that the task assigned by God was completed and He had done His job. Because of this day, we are able to reconcile with the father once again. Jesus died, but by His death, He has saved the entire mankind and that is the good thing about this day.

God loves you.

Change your lifestyle

“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where He prayed.” – Mark 1:35.

Are you facing challenges today or feeling overwhelmed by your circumstances? Perhaps what you see on the outside doesn’t match what God has placed on the inside of you. The key is: don’t sit around in self-pity, depressed or discouraged. Go out and find someplace you can pray and connect with Almighty God. Go to the park and watch the sunset. Look up at the stars and think about His goodness. Take a break from the environment that seems to be holding you back. Find a place that inspires you, a place where you can meditate on His Word and let your faith be elevated. Stay in a good, Bible-based church where people are going to build you up and not tear you down; a place where people are going to challenge you to rise higher and become all that God has created you to be.

I know people who get home from work every night and watch the same depressing TV shows week after week. Don’t let that be you! If you’re going to enlarge your vision, you’ve got to get out of a limited environment. Put yourself in an atmosphere of victory and success and move forward in the good things God has prepared for you.

Good Friday and Resurrection day

“The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised” – Luke 9:22.

Good Friday and Resurrection day have their own importance to the human race irrespective of religion. Good Friday signifies the death of Jesus on the cross, when he bore our sins upon himself, so that we may be set free from all our sins and iniquities and get reconciled with God the father. For forgiveness of sins, you need a self-realization of sins, self-confession of sins to God and sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. The role of sacrifice was played by Jesus on the cross, hence if we believe that Jesus died for our sins, then we experience the forgiveness of sins in our life. You need not be a Christian to experience the act of forgiveness, it is a sacrifice from God towards all mankind.

As mentioned in the scriptures, Jesus died on the cross, was buried in a tomb and on the third day he rose again. In the process, he conquered death or had a victory over death. This means, death is not an ultimate destiny in the life of people, there is life beyond death for those who believe. Resurrection day is a celebration for victory over death as achieved by Jesus and we too are going to follow the same, when we would be raised from death and step forward humbly in the presence of God the father.
