Fulfilling your Desire

“May he grant you according to your heart desire” – Psalms 20:4.

The blessing and promise is already in place, that he will grant us the desire of our heart. What do we desire in our hearts is very important?

God is able to fulfill all our desires from His heavenly realms, when we desire less, we receive less. When we desire more, he provides more. Desire is like a seed. The seed is buried in the soil and then you water it with faith and prayer and expect abundance of fruits.

If you lack faith than the fruits would be weak in number or rather the desire would not florist. God loves us and he wants to bless as per our own desire, so keep your desire high and intact.

The Desire of God

“In the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. Abel also brought of the first born of the flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, but He did not respect Cain and his offering.” – Genesis 4:3 – 5.

Both Abel and Cain brought their offering to God, but God accepted the offering of Abel, but Cain’s offering was not respected. Cain brought the offering as per his choice, but Abel brought the offering as per the choice of God. This was the difference between both the offerings.
This is nothing but knowing the heart of God, what God desires from us. Many a times we come to God with incorrect submissions to offer to God and feel ourselves disappointed if we do not get the desired results. What God desires from us firstly is our time, as we all know that we cannot please God by our offering, as he is the creator of everything. However God likes to spend time with His creation. He is so passionate, that He is ready to let go every wrong thing that we had committed in our lives, and He desires our association.
Secondly he desires a pure and contrite heart. When you come to God, He would not reject you, he longs for our time, He loves our company. He loves when we spend time with Him, talking to Him, which is His desire.

Ask What You Desire

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” – John 15:7

It pleases God to give you the desires of your heart! He wants to see you happy, whole, strong and enjoying His blessing. When you make the Word of God your number one priority, when you stay connected to Him through prayer and worship, God promises that He will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 tells us again that if we delight ourselves in Him, He will give us the desires of our hearts. One of the root definitions of the word “delight” means “soft.” This gives the picture of us being soft and moldable, like clay, in the Potter’s hands. As we allow Him to shape and mold our character, as we yield ourselves to Him, our thoughts become His thoughts, our words become His Words, and our desires become His desires! That’s how we can ask whatever we will because our will is in alignment with Him!

Today, don’t allow the distractions of everyday life keep you from spending time with Him. Abide in Him and let His Words abide in you because He will give you the desires of your heart!
