Wear your Blessing

“Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him” – Genesis 26:12

One time Isaac was in a famine. There was a great drought in the land, but Isaac went out and planted crops right in the middle of that famine. It didn’t make any sense, but somehow in that same year of drought, the Scripture says, “Isaac received 100 times what he had sown because the Lord blessed him.”

What’s interesting is that when Isaac got blessed, the people around him, the Philistines and his friends all of the sudden got jealous of him. They were fine as long as he was broke. As long as they were at the same level, it was no big deal. But when he stepped up to a new level, when he began to wear his blessings well, the Scripture says, “The Philistines hated Isaac.”

Maybe you’ve noticed this in your own life. When you start to do better, the people around you don’t celebrate. They become jealous. But you can’t allow the attitudes of others to hold you back and cause you to live in mediocrity. Instead, when you’re blessed, brag on God! Shake off the criticism of others and receive His blessing. Wear it well because when you honor Him, He will continue to increase and promote you all the days of your life!

Have a blessed weekend.

No Curse Ground

“Then the ark rested in the seventh month, the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat”. – Genesis 8:4

For 40 days and nights, it rained so hard that the whole world perished, except for Noah and those who were with him in the ark. At the end of 150 days, on the 17th day of the seventh month, the ark rested on the mountains of Ararat.

In Hebrew, the word “Ararat” means “the curse is reversed”. The waters of judgment receded, causing the ark to rest on the mountains of Ararat, on new ground where the curse is reversed. And it happened on the 17th day of the seventh month on the Feast of First fruits — the exact date that Jesus rose from the dead around 4,000 years later!

When Christ rose from the dead, we were raised together with Him. (Colossians 2:12). We who are in Christ our true ark stand on resurrection ground where the curse has been reversed (Galatians 3:13), where diseases, poverty and failures have no right to operate!

My friend, as a believer, you are on no-curse ground. You stand in the blessings zone where it is very easy for God’s blessings to rain all over you!

He will Multiply You

“And I will make My covenant between Me and you and will multiply you exceedingly” – Genesis 17:2

God is in the multiplication business. It doesn’t matter what your need is today, God wants to increase you.

One time in the Old Testament, God simply multiplied the sound of four men’s footsteps and caused them to sound like a mighty army. When their enemies heard them coming, they took off running. Thousands of people, thousands of troops running for their lives, scared to death, thinking they were being attacked by a massive army, when in fact, it was just four people.

Friend, God can make you seem bigger than you really are. He can make you look more powerful. He knows how to multiply your influence, your strength, your talent. He can multiply your income or whatever else you need! You don’t have to figure it all out. All you have to do is believe. If you will release your faith and get up every day expecting God’s far and beyond favour, then you’re going to see God show up and do amazing things. He’ll bless you beyond your wildest dreams and multiply you in every area of your life!

The Desire of God

“In the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. Abel also brought of the first born of the flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, but He did not respect Cain and his offering.” – Genesis 4:3 – 5.

Both Abel and Cain brought their offering to God, but God accepted the offering of Abel, but Cain’s offering was not respected. Cain brought the offering as per his choice, but Abel brought the offering as per the choice of God. This was the difference between both the offerings.
This is nothing but knowing the heart of God, what God desires from us. Many a times we come to God with incorrect submissions to offer to God and feel ourselves disappointed if we do not get the desired results. What God desires from us firstly is our time, as we all know that we cannot please God by our offering, as he is the creator of everything. However God likes to spend time with His creation. He is so passionate, that He is ready to let go every wrong thing that we had committed in our lives, and He desires our association.
Secondly he desires a pure and contrite heart. When you come to God, He would not reject you, he longs for our time, He loves our company. He loves when we spend time with Him, talking to Him, which is His desire.

Protect Your Seed

“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease” – Genesis 8:22

Did you know that when we say prayers, when we are believing God for something, it’s like planting spiritual seeds? It’s a principle that God established at the beginning of time. We determine the harvest we have in our lives by the seeds we sow.

In the natural, think about how the farmer waits for his harvest. He knows that if he protects his seed he will get an abundant harvest. He waters it, pulls the weeds, and keeps the soil soft.

In the same way, we have to protect our spiritual seed. We can’t allow the “weeds” of negative thinking to come in. We have to pull them out by simply saying, “God, I know You’re faithful. My trust and confidence is in You.” We have to water our seed by staying full of praise. We have to keep an attitude of faith and expectancy. That’s how we protect our seed. And when you protect your seed, when you stay in faith and keep the right attitude, it won’t be long before you see that harvest of blessing in every area of your life.
