God Oriented Movement

Did you know that God can use a single moment to transform your life for the better?

God is always working, even when we have no idea what He’s doing. He loves to bless us with His amazing, awe-inspiring goodness, even when we least expect it or when things don’t seem to be going the right way. Romans 8:28 is a popular verse but never gets old. To me, it’s one of the most encouraging verses in the entire Bible. “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them”.

I love the word “everything” in this verse. We tend to think of bad things and difficult seasons, but “everything” includes more. It includes the good things as well as the things that we are indifferent about. God takes all of those things and works them out for our good. He wants you to be the kind of person who thinks about His promises all the time, who believes the best, and who keeps hoping when others just give up. If you live this way, I believe you’ll be amazed at how God works in your life. You’ll experience His favor in what I call a “God-ordained moment.”

A God-ordained moment is an incredible, supernatural event that God’s been setting up, working behind the scenes so that you can experience His goodness at just the right time.

The God of More than Enough

“…the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, ‘I am Almighty God…” – Genesis 17:1

Do you need more peace, joy, or any provision in your life? Friend, we serve a God who is more than enough and He has more than enough!

The original Hebrew word in this verse is El Shaddai which means “the All-Sufficient One” or the God of plenty. In other words, our God is simply more than enough! He’s not worried about how He’s going to meet your needs. He’s not wondering how He’s going to provide for you; He’s already overflowing with everything you need in this life, and He longs to bless you. Do you know why? He wants to bless you abundantly so that you can turn around and be a blessing to other people. He wants you to be His reflection in the earth. But you have to first receive what He wants to do in your life. You can’t go around with a negative, self-defeating attitude and expect to see the blessings of God pour in. No, the Bible tells us that it is our faith that pleases God.

Today, keep an attitude of faith and expectancy. Remember, you serve the Almighty God. He promises to supply all your needs because He is El Shaddai, the God of more than enough!

God the Provider

“God will supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory in Christ Jesus” – Philippians 4:19.

Aren’t you glad we serve a God who promises to supply all our needs! When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and follow His commands, you have access to God and everything He is; peace, provision, protection and more. That means no matter what is happening in the world today, as you obey God’s Word, your needs will be met. No matter what is going on with the economy, gas prices, or housing market, God is still your Source; and if your Source is okay, then you are okay, too. Rest assured there is no lack in heaven.

Not only is God able to meet your needs, He wants to meet your needs. It gives Him great pleasure to bless and prosper you. Begin to expect that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. Look for His hand of provision in your life and praise Him for His faithfulness. As you do your part, God will do His part. He will open the windows of heaven and pour out His abundant blessing on every area of your life

God is the Giver and Not the Taker

”He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” – Romans 8:32

Some people mistakenly believe that God gives and also takes away. At funerals, we sometimes hear the minister say, “The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

I remember an occasion when I was looking at a baby who was suffering from cancer. I heard one of his family members comment, “You can’t be sure what God’s will is. He may or may not heal.” What that person meant was that although the Lord had given the parents this baby, He might later take the baby away from them.

Job displayed this very same attitude when he received the news that he had lost his property and children. Thinking that God was the source of his problems and not knowing that it was actually Satan who had come against him, he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job 1:21) Such a statement seems to honor God, but in reality, it reveals an erroneous view of our heavenly Father.

As children of God, we know what the Father’s will is for us. He is a giver, not a taker! Jesus said, “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32). It is the devil who is the thief. He comes to steal, kill and destroy. But Jesus came to give us life more abundant. (John 10:10)

Jesus met every need and healed every sickness brought before Him, and at the cross, He gave His own life. Never once did He take anything away from the people who came to Him. And the Bible says that whoever has seen Jesus has seen the Father. (John 14:9)

Beloved, your heavenly Father wants you to know today that He is the one who gives you all good things. And if He has already given us heaven’s best — Jesus, “how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things”?
