Independence Day

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” – Romans 6:23.

As India celebrates its 64th Independence day today, people all around the country remember the sacrifice that was required for the freedom that was achieved by the people who made it possible. There is no independence without sacrifice. It was because of the few positive minded people the impossible was achieved. Independence is a great celebration as it allows one to think and to do the things of his choice independently and rather not to follow anything forcefully.

Sin has been one more bondage that has been holding the human race from the time of the fall on mankind in the garden of Eden. Rather a dreadful bondage that not only captures our heart, but our soul as well. The sacrifice on the cross by our Lord Jesus Christ has washed away our sin and given us the freedom. Jesus said ” I have come to give you life and that too in full ” So it is very important that we do not free our heart only, but free our soul to obtain the full life (everlasting life in heaven) that is offered. We need to get away from our sinful attitude and set ourselves away from our wrongdoing. The sacrifice has been done, it is for us to accept it and enjoy the freedom. Its time to declare ourselves free from everything that has been bounded around us enjoy the promises of God.
