Living a Satisfied Life

“With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation” – Psalm 91:16

One key to staying passionate about life is to simply stay productive. You have to have a reason to get out of bed every morning. You have to keep your goals out in front of you. You may retire from the job, but don’t ever retire from life. You have to choose to keep your mind active, keep growing, keep learning and keep helping others. You have to find a way to stay productive. When you stop producing, you stop growing and thriving.

God promises that if we’ll keep Him first place, He will give us a long, satisfied life. You may say, “How long is a long life?” Until you’re satisfied. If you quit producing at fifty and you’re satisfied, then the promise is fulfilled. I don’t know about you, but I’ve got too much in me to stop right now. I’m not satisfied. I’ve got dreams that haven’t come to pass. I’ve got messages I haven’t given. I’ve got a family to enjoy. I’ve got grandchildren I haven’t seen yet.

Today, get a vision for your future. Get a vision for staying productive. Expect to be fulfilled, expect to live a satisfied life, and expect to embrace all the good things God has in store for you!

What are you Hungry for?

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled” – Matthew 5:6

In the natural, what do you do when you’re hungry for something? Maybe you think of something to eat, but it doesn’t quite hit the spot. So you find something else until you are satisfied.

Spiritual hunger works the same way. You may feel a restlessness or unsettledness, but you can’t quite figure out what will satisfy it. You may try to fill that need with other things — food, addictions, people — but only God can fill that hunger. Today’s verse tells us that righteousness is what satisfies us. When you hunger and thirst for righteousness, God’s way of doing things, you will be spiritually satisfied.

Just like you have to stop what you are doing to take time to eat in the natural, you have to take time to “eat” or partake of the right things spiritually. We have to take time every day and devote it to the Lord in prayer, worship and reading His Word. We have to go the extra mile to stay in fellowship with others who believe the same. But remember, when you seek God’s ways, you get God’s results — life, joy, peace and satisfaction in Him all the days of your life!

Supremely Satisfied

Look at a day when you are
supremely satisfied at the end.

It’s not a day when you
lounge around all day doing nothing;

It’s when you’ve had everything to do
and somehow you’ve done it!

May you have a great day today!
