Get Up and Start Over

Are you feeling “down” today? Are you discouraged because of your experience yesterday? In an unguarded moment, did you stumble and fall by yielding to sin? There is something worse than falling down – it is staying down. The wicked fall and shall not rise, but with a God’s child, it is not so. Though we do sometimes fall, we will not be content until we are restored. We shall not sin, but too often we do. Admit your failings. Don’t worry over them, but confess them.

Before Jesus died for us, He knew that we would continue to struggle with sin, so He made provision for our daily cleansing. Make a fresh start each day by taking time to confess your sins, to admit your weakness, and to ask God for his strength to do what He wants you to do. As you depend on the Lord’s grace and strength, you will soon know what victory really is!

Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the LORD upholds him. -PSALM 37:24

Stir It Up

“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands” (II Timothy 1:6, NKJ).

Do you ever feel like you’ve “lost your fire or enthusiasm?” We all have times when we feel overwhelmed by the pressures of life, but that’s when we need to stir up what God has placed on the inside of us.  Remember, there are no disadvantages with our God.  You have everything you need to succeed.  No weapon formed against you is ever going to prosper; you just have to stir up the gift inside.  How do you stir it up? By speaking God’s truth and meditating on His word.

Start right now by simply declaring today, “I am going to see God’s favor in a greater way. New doors are going to begin to open for me.  Supernatural opportunities are coming my way.  God is setting up divine connections for me.  I’m always at the right place at the right time.  I am going to overcome every obstacle and defeat every enemy. I’m going to see every dream, every desire that God has placed in my heart come to pass in Jesus’ name!”
